I'm not a professional tattoo artist, but I do enjoy doing tattoos either on myself or my husband. i have a few different setups i grabbed this one as it was only $10 after coupon discount.so that wasn't too bad.  

so let me give my opinion of this setup. it comes with a great deal of items. as listed below.

The power supply is not my fav one I would recommend getting a different one so you don't have to keep the peddle pressed all the time although this one you can have 2 different pens connected so you don't have to change needle cartridges. but I would upgrade to one like this Tattoo Power Supply so you can concentrate more on the tattoo work than the peddle work.

you do get a nice small variety of needles to work with for beginners most line work is done with a 5RL and color packing is done with 5RM or 7RM the 3RL I haven't used as that's for fine line work.

as for the ink only time will tell, I can say the colors go in much lighter than expected the purple looks pinker than lavender and the lipstick red comes out more orange. the caps are not the best either they don't quite seal when opened. I wouldn't really use these on skin but for practicing with 

the pen itself is nice it's like using a fat sharpie. the power cord on the other hand is not as good it has a thick cord, so it makes it harder to move around.
